The Looe Valley Line
Relax and let the train take you on a scenic tour of real ales in the Looe Valley - from the market town of Liskeard to the fishing port of Looe with its maze of busy narrow streets and sandy beach. The Rail Ale Trail provides you with the ideal opportunity to experience the beauty of the Looe Valley whilst being able to savour the delights of traditional real ales and fine rural pubs along the way. The 9 mile-long branch line, one of the Great Scenic Railways of Devon & Cornwall, passes through the heavily wooded river valley, with river, railway and the remains of the old Liskeard – Looe Union Canal running alongside each other. Why not combine the Rail Ale Trail with walks from Trails from the Track - a selection of self-guided walks in the Looe Valley. Click on the names of each of the pubs to visit our pub pages and find out more. |
