This historic quay side pub has a long maritime and judicial history with
links to Sir John Hawkins, Sir Walter Raleigh and Judge Jefferies. Reputed
to be haunted, this pub offers a very warm welcome and good food. Despite
being the place where the first pipe of tobacco was smoked in Britain, the
lounge is now a non smoking area! An outside seated patio is the ideal place
to watch the world go by. A function room is available for meetings by arrangement.
