This traditional village local has a spacious lounge bar with plenty of seating to relax for a hearty, good value meal. Three ales include Flowers, Bass and one regularly changing guest. Maiden Newton has some interesting claims to fame - the church has what may be the oldest door in England (of Norman origin) and the queen once spent the night in the royal train in the siding behind the old signal box. The village once had three pubs, this is the last survivor - so visitors will also be helping the loyal regulars to keep their much loved local thriving!
